Happy make-it Monday! Is that a thing? If it isn’t, it should be!
Today, I’m writing about my plans for the new book: Tilly and the Buttons: Make it Simple.
I recently got my copy in the mail! (We got it a little later than other countries). The timing was perfect because it arrived around the same time my work closed. So, to make staying at home a little more interesting, I’m also gonna try to make as many patterns, from this book, as I can using my fabric stash. Side note: have all your local fabric stores closed too?? I’m having major withdrawals!
So, back to the point, every Monday, I’m gonna make one pattern from the book and share it (until I run out of appropriate fabrics). Feel free to join in and share some of your makes! If you’re posting on Instagram, use #acthang.
I’m sure a lot of you could make it farther through the book than I will because my fabric stash actually isn’t that big (even fabric store warehouses are closing!!)
I decided to start with the Safiya Trousers. Reason being: We’re all staying home, so, I can wear what I make and not feel overdressed for sitting on the couch!

The trousers turned out well! I used rayon, so, they’re very comfortable and nice and light for summer.

Thanks for reading and stay safe!
Good looking trousers! There’s an ease about wearing rayon pants — or any other drapey fabric pants.

Love these! What a great print! I’m having major fabric store withdrawls too, and running out of thread…

Same! I completely forgot about making sure I have enough thread and zippers! So, I have enough fabric, but won’t be able to finish a lot of my projects until I can get the notions.
